Masato Abe

Masato Abe is an Economist at the United Nations secretariat.
He has extensive experience in enterprise development with a special emphasis on the MSME sector, supply chain management, socially responsible business, and access to finance in Asia and the Pacific.
Before joining the secretariat, he worked in the global automotive, electronics, and high-technology industries.
He has published numerous books, book chapters, journal articles, policy papers, and others for various outlets.
He holds marketing, business administration, and economics degrees.
He is a research fellow at Thammasat University, Bangkok, an adjunct professor at Naresuan University, Phitsanulok, and a visiting lecturer at Waseda University, Tokyo.
He presently works for the United Nations Multi-Country Office for Micronesia.
