ICCE signs a working MoU with the Economics Association of Malawi

The Institute of Certified Chartered Economists, ICCE, has announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding with the Economics Association of Malawi (ECAMA).

The ICCE is the foremost and leading global professional body providing the Chartered Economist designation certification program.

The Economics Association of Malawi (ECAMA) is a non-profit membership-based association of professionals who are practicing in the economics space or are pursuing studies in economics in Malawi.

ECAMA members will receive a unique and discounted enrollment offer for the ICCE’s Chartered Economist program. The agreement also guarantees scholarships to all ECAMA members who wish to become chartered economists.

As per the agreed Memorandum of Understanding, the two organizations will collaborate to offer the globally recognized Chartered Economist designation to all economists in Malawi, with more specialized opportunities available to ECAMA members and partners.

Furthermore, the two organizations will collaborate to host a range of roundtable discussions and conferences in Malawi on various subjects.

ECAMA Executive Director, Frank Chikuta, states that the organization is always looking for international alliances that will benefit every one of its members.

“Our partnership with a global organization like the ICCE demonstrates our commitment to all members and stakeholders as well as the economics profession.”

“Thanks to this relationship with the ICCE, ECAMA members and non-members will have access to the Chartered Economist program and get specialized training on a variety of issues.”

“Our main goal is to support the professional and intellectual growth of our members. Our members’ aim of professional development is set to be greatly aided by our collaboration with ICCE.” He added

Speaking on behalf of the ICCE, Gaurissh Lagu, the Global Head of Partnership, reiterated the ICCE’s commitment to making the global chartered economist designation available and accessible.

“We are overjoyed to be working with the ECAMA, a reputable organization in Malawi. We are sure that everyone interested in applying to the ICCE’s Chartered Economist program in Malawi, as well as ECAMA members, would gain from this partnership.”

“We hope that everyone who is a part of ECAMA, whether they are a member or not, will take advantage of what we have to offer to begin their journey toward obtaining the esteemed Chartered Economists designation and to dedicate themselves to the international professional standards of the ICCE.”
