The Institute of Certified Chartered Economists (ICCE) successfully held the first edition of its annual global conference, dubbed the Global Economic IDEAS Festival.

This first edition was held virtually on November 23–24, 2022.

The Festival drew top economists, leading researchers, ministers of states, private sector business leaders, central bankers, representatives from civil society organizations, academics, and thought leaders over two days to drive conversations about how to shape the global economy.

GEIF featured top global speakers who shared their perspectives and insights covering key economic and geopolitical issues of global concern.

Key topics featured at the GEIF 2022 included climate change, inclusive technology, China, global trade, healthcare financing, and others. The festival attracted over 700 virtual participants across multiple countries.

According to the Vice Chair of the GEIF, Prof. H.K. Pradhan, the ICCE aims to present the GEIF 2023 as a physical meeting.
